Plastisol Printing Process

Have you heard of screen printing before?  Do you know about the plastisol printing process?  Screen printing is a great way to quickly and easy add custom designs to all types of garments and accessories, but most people don’t understand the plastisol printing process.  Of course, that’s why you enlist the services of a contract printing company, but wouldn’t understanding the process make it a whole lot easier to plan out your custom designs?  So if you want to find out more about it, why don’t you stick around and let us at AMBRO Manufacturing tell you all about it?

Plastisol Printing Process

The plastisol printing process always begins with artwork because that’s the whole point of printing in the first place!  The artwork must first be separated by color as each screen will hold a separate ink color that will be applied in a sequence that results in the final image.  Once it’s separated, each portion of the image gets ‘burned’ into an emulsion coated silk screen with special exposure equipment to create what is essentially a sophisticated stencil.  You can then mount the screens to a printing press, load the screens with the proper ink, and start applying the designs!  Plastisol doesn’t contain a solvent so you must heat it to a proper temperature to cure the print, so a quick pass in the dryer will finish your custom print.

As you can see there’s a lot involved with the plastisol printing process, but you won’t need to worry about that when you come to AMBRO Manufacturing for your apparel customization.  We’ve been in business for over 30 years now so we have all the necessary equipment and decades of experience to offer you.  You can easily place an order with us for our customization services, or to find out more about our company, by email or by giving us a call at (908) 806-8337.
