Do you know what sublimation is?  If not, it’s a process where a solid shifts to a gas without passing through a liquid phase.  Why should you care?  Well, for one thing, many of the printed graphics you see around you on a daily basis have been done with sublimation printing.  For example, I’m sure you’ve seen sublimation printing on shirts before without even knowing what you were looking at.  Think back to a noteworthy shirt that has an awesome all over graphic, chock-full of color or a high definition photograph with perfect clarity; chances are very high that that garment was printed with dye sublimation!

Sublimation Printing on Shirts

How can sublimation printing on shirts be capable of so much?  Well, the dye sublimation process is unique because it starts with printing out your artwork digitally from a sublimation printer onto a heat transfer sheet.  The artwork comes straight from the digital file so all the colors and clarity remain intact; there is no need for screens or color separations like with screen printing.  The transfer sheet gets place onto the blank shirt to be printed and together that are placed into the sublimation press.  The heat press applies high temperatures and pressure for a brief period of time to cause the dyes to sublimate and transfer into the garment.

Once the sublimation occurs, the print is locked into the very fibers of the garment permanently.  What you see on the computer screen is what you’ll see on the fabric and that’s what makes sublimation printing on shirts so appealing.  You have no limits on details and colors, so you are free to explore every corner of your creativity to the maximum.  And you can get all of that done here at AMBRO Manufacturing because we are a contract sublimation, screen printing, and embroidery company!  If you are interested in placing an order for custom sublimation printing on shirts, or if you would like to find out more about us, you can contact us by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.

Getting clothing printed is much easier in today’s world than it has been in the past. Everywhere you look there is some sort of screen printing or embroidery shop right in front of you. Picking one place might be a hard task if some places don’t offer a lot of services. AMBRO Manufacturing is one of those places that can offer you the standards and a lot more. Digital Sublimation is a fantastic way to decorate any T-Shirt.

Digital Sublimation

Besides screen printing, we also do digital sublimation. This is another type of printing that will be able to get you very bright, vibrant colors. Unlike screen printing, dye sublimation consists of using a special paper transfer of the design to be printed. When heat pressed the ink on the paper turns into a vapor, which gets dyed into the fabric. With digital sublimation you don’t have to worry about how many colors the print is, since we can do full color.

To use dye sublimation, the shirt or whatever garment you are printing on has to be white and 100% polyester. This will ensure the best print possible. You also want to make sure that the image that you want to use is high resolution. If it is not, then you will risk a pixelated or blurry print. You can have an all over printed shirt with a cool pattern or a simple design, the world is your oyster.

You can give us a call any time at (908) 806 8337 or email us and we will get back to you with anything you may need to know about our digital sublimation. We are your next stop shop to having your wardrobe looking bright and the best you have ever seen it be. You can stop in any time to have a look around our show room and see what our samples for sublimation look like up close and personal.

Why Would You Recommend a Dye Sublimation Printer

Why Would You Recommend a Dye Sublimation Printer

Why Would You Recommend a Dye Sublimation Printer

If you ever loved creating your own tee shirt designs, or loved seeing an all over print on tee shirts, then I have just the thing for you. If you are looking to start a small company or just want to make things on the side, AMBRO Manufacturing is just your ticket. To get prints to be all over the shirts there is a special way to go about that using a sublimation printing process. Are you asking yourself why would you recommend a dye sublimation printer? Keep on reading and I will tell you why it is the best way to go.

Why Would You Recommend a Dye Sublimation Printer

The dye sublimation printing process is a way to get a full color image or design onto a shirt. There is a special transfer paper that the design gets printed on first, then when it is heat pressed onto the shirt, the ink turns into a vapor and gets dyed into the fabric of the garment. This is the best way to go if you want a photographic image or one that has a lot of color in it because the colors will be printed very rich and saturated in color. Another great thing about why you would recommend a dye sublimation printer is that we can get close to the seams in the print to make it look like a wrap around design from the front to the back. There is one consideration that you need to keep in mind when using the sublimation printing process is; the shirt has to be 100% polyester and white. This will ensure the best and brightest print possible.

The next time you would like to have an all over printed shirt, you should stop by and have a look in our show room to see our sample sublimation prints that we have done. You can give us a call any time at (908) 806-8337 or email us and we will have someone get back to you on why would you recommend a dye sublimation printer.

Sublimation Dye Printing

Have you stepped into the world of sublimation dye printing yet?  If not, you’re in store for a grand surprise because this method of garment decoration is simply mind-blowing.  That’s a lot of hype for a printing method, I know, but once you see the quality and the scope of possible printable designs, your head might start spinning from the potential.  So let’s get into why sublimation dye printing can be so great and why you should consider it for your next custom printing project.

Sublimation Dye Printing

The first reason why sublimation dye printing is noteworthy is due to the amount of detail and color that can be captured onto the garment.  Other methods of printing get very complicated as the color count rises but not for sublimation printing.  This method works by heat pressing a transfer sheet that contains specially formulated dyes that convert from a solid to a gas and then get absorbed by the material below.  Since the artwork is digitally printed out from a sublimation printer onto the transfer sheet, all the details and colors in the digital file are perfectly reproduced.  There’s no mucking about with screens and separations; just print, press, and presto!

Now aesthetics are important for custom garments, but so is durability.  Sublimation dye printing can deliver durability in spades.  The dye is actually bonded with the very fibers of the material as a result of this method so it’s there for the lifetime of the garment.  You won’t see any cracking or peeling and your print will stay gorgeous even after many washes.  Here at AMBRO Manufacturing, we make it easy to get great quality, custom printing, even if you have zero previous experience.  If you would like to place an order or speak to a representative to find out more about our company, you can contact us by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.

Many great things can happen when science and art collide.  One such thing to happen from this intersection of logic and creativity was dye sublimation.  Dye Sublimation Printers is an innovative way of approaching printing that creates stunning images.  Originally it was developed for printing on paper and signage, but it has been adapted for fabric printing as well.  The name is derived from the way the minute solid particles in the dye are heated to become a gas without passing through the liquid phase, also known as….you guessed it, sublimation!

Dye Sublimation Printers

Sublimation does wonders as far as prints are concerned, but the process can be tricky and you should enlist the services of professional dye sublimation printers.  It all starts with your graphic in digital form; the art gets printed from special dye sublimation printers loaded with heat-reactive dyes and sublimation transfer paper.  The transfer sheet containing the image gets placed onto the blank garment to be printed and both are put into a sublimation press for a brief time.  As we talked about earlier, the dye gets vaporized and can be absorbed by the material below.  Once the print is bonded to the fabric, it is permanent and won’t crack or peel even after many washes.

Dye sublimation can be applied in two primary ways: onto pre made garments or as cut and sew manufacturing.  Sublimation must be done on a completely flat surface otherwise creases and folds in the material can cause blank spots where the image didn’t transfer.  Cut and sew manufacturing is different from sublimating on a pre made garment because the print is applied before the garment is cut out from the fabric and sewn together.  Either way works for us here at AMBRO Manufacturing!  If you make us your dye sublimation printers, we can guide you to sublimation printing success!  You can contact us to place an order by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.

Custom Sublimation Shirts

Are you in the market for customized shirts?  These days, there are a lot of ways to go about creating custom shirts.  Some methods use materials like thread, patches, and rhinestones to decorate blank garments.  Other methods apply dyes or pigments to the clothing in the shape of an image to create a print.  One particular method that is constantly growing in popularity is dye sublimation printing.  Custom sublimation shirts are quite the hot ticket item because they can be printed with practically any image you can think of.

Custom Sublimation Shirts

Custom sublimation shirts can be produced in two ways: by sublimation onto a pre-made garment or by sublimating raw fabric and then assembling it into a garment; the latter is also known as cut and sew manufacturing.   For both ways, the process starts the same.  Artwork is printed out of a sublimation printer on a special sheet of transfer paper using a heat-reactive dye.  The transfer sheet is then placed onto the garment, making sure it is as flat as possible, and together they are put into a press.  The press administers high heat and pressure for a brief time which causes the dye to be released from the sheet as a vapor.

Once the vapor is absorbed by the material, the print is permanently locked into the garment.  Dye sublimation printing allows you to recreate gorgeous, photographic quality images onto your blank garments.  The best part is, the print is infused into the fibers of the garment so your custom sublimation shirts will boldly stand the test of time.  Your print won’t crack or peel even after many washes.  So if you are interested in getting some of your own custom sublimation shirts, you should check us out at AMBRO Manufacturing today.  You can contact us to place an order by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.

Sublimation Printing on Polyester

Sublimation Printing on Polyester

Sublimation Printing on Polyester

If you know even a little bit about sublimation printing then you know just how spectacular it can be.  Since the process of dye sublimation allows you to print out the artwork just like an image on a piece of paper, you are limited in detail and colors like with screen printing.  Printing photographic images onto garments is no sweat for dye sublimation.  As with anything in life, it comes with its own advantages and disadvantages.  Currently, sublimation printing on polyester is the only option for high quality dye sub prints.

Sublimation Printing on Polyester

The reason why sublimation printing on polyester is required is due to the science behind this printing method.  It all begins with the artwork being printed out of a sublimation printer.  The printer contains special cartridges that hold heat sensitive dyes.  The transfer sheet the art is printed onto is then put on the blank garments and placed in a sublimation press.  In the press, the heat and pressure causes the dye on the sheet to be released as a gas and absorb into the material below.  You can technically sublimate non-polyester garments, but that doesn’t mean they will last.  Polyester fibers will take in the dye and hold it permanently whereas a 100% cotton garment will wash out after 1 or 2 washes.  Even if you were to try to sublimate onto a 50/50 blended tee, the print would only hold onto the polyester fibers and fade away on the cotton.

But enough about what doesn’t work because sublimation printing on polyester does work and it is stunning.  At AMBRO Manufacturing we can do your sublimation printing and more.  With nearly 30 years of experience in the business you can trust in our quality.  You can contact us to place an order for sublimation printing, or to find out more about us, by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.

The technological age has changed the way that society produces and views art.  Constantly developing technologies have made producing art more available to the masses and a lot more approachable.  With digital art there’s no need to worry about messy paints or scattered art tools.  Now spectacular works of art can be created while sitting at a computer.  Technology has also changed the way we put art onto our garments. Digital Sublimation Heat Press Printing offers the ability to produce quick results while maintaining high quality of print.

Digital Sublimation Heat Press Printing

With traditional screen printing, a classic method of putting art onto garments, you are able to achieve wonderful prints, but there are limitations.  To make a screen printed design, a silk screen coated with an emulsion is etched with a graphic.  If the image has multiple colors, each color gets its own screen with only those parts of the image that is of that color.  Also with plastisol inks, which are normally used in screen printing, the more ink you apply to the garment, the more weight and ‘hand’ that print will have.  Digital sublimation heat press printing helps address those problems.  With digital sublimation heat press printing, a high resolution image is digitally printed out with a special printer loaded with special dye cartridges.  The print out is on a heat resistant paper that can be placed on the garment and put into a sublimation heat press.  After a short time in the press, the dyes on the paper vaporize and the image is transferred onto the fabric.

Digital sublimation heat press printing doesn’t care how many colors you want because it is printed out just like a picture onto paper; no need to separate colors into layers.  Since the dye is absorbed into the fabric during the transfer, you won’t have to worry about print density, fading, cracking, or peeling!  If you are interested in having some designs sublimated, or if you would like to know more about digital sublimation het press printing, you can contact us at AMBRO Manufacturing by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.

Heat Transfer Printing

Heat Transfer Printing

Heat Transfer Printing

Heat Transfer Printing can be for many different printing techniques. You can use heat transfer printing for sublimation. You can also use heat transfer printing for AFM and vinyl. Heat transfer printing really applies to anything that you will be using heat to transfer an image to a textile.

Heat Transfer Printing

Like with sublimation you use heat to transfer inks that are printed onto heat transfer paper to transfer the ink from the paper to the shirts or pants or socks or whatever it is you choose to sublimate. When using heat transfer printing for sublimation, the heat actually causes the inks to transform from a solid into a gaseous vapor that infuses into the textiles. That is how heat transfer printing is used for sublimation.

Now when you use the heat transfer printing process for AFM or vinyl it is different because the vinyl and AFM are not inks they are actually like big stickers. For AFM an image is printed onto a big white piece of sticker and then cut out. Once you have the image all peeled and ready to go you then want to do the heat printing by placing the logo onto the textile of your choice and applying the heat which in turn makes the image stick to the textile. It is pretty much the same process for vinyl except you can only do one color with vinyl. You would cut your image out of a piece of vinyl that already has a color to it and then peel away the excess that you do not need for your image and then start the heat transfer process.

In addition to this type of print, heat printing also includes foil stamping and embossing which involve the creation of custom dies and specialty textile foils.  You have likely seen this type of print when you receive your credit card bill at your favorite restaurant.  The leather portfolios with the restaurant logo on the front in gold or silver are done via the foil stamping and/or embossing process.  While debossing is similar, it technically does not involve a print, and is more so a heat stamp.

Some may argue that sublimation printing would also fit in this category of fabric decoration, and it may, I would argue however that sublimation is in itself a process.

If you would like to know more or would like to have some heat transfer printing done call (908) 806-8337 or email us here at AMBRO Manufacturing and we can help you create something awesome.
